RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design all media for assigned brands
  • Meet all deadlines
  • Continually improve the design of each assigned brand so that it effectively engages its target audience
  • Establish visual communication best practices and processes across all products and platforms
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders on the design of media for assigned brands
  • Proactively assist the Design Director to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained, staff is trained, and workloads are balanced in order to meet objectives
  • Actively engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A./B.F.A./M.F.A. in Graphic Design
  • 3-5 years of design experience, preferably in an editorial environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to excel both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others to help them perform and grow
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design principles, standards, and techniques
  • Ability to think creatively and conceptually
  • Excellent time-management skills, including an ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Adobe CC)
  • Experience with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite
  • Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS is a plus
